Using CronFox
Collections
Create, archive, and organize HTTP jobs into folders.
Overview
Collections group related tasks. Think of them as folders: Billing, Data sync, Customer emails. They do not run on a schedule by themselves — only the tasks inside them do.
Create a collection
- Sign in and open Collections from the sidebar (
/collections). - Click New Collection (or the create action shown in the empty state).
- Enter a name that your team will recognize later.
- Save. The collection appears in the list.
You can create many collections; plan limits focus on tasks, not how many folders you use (current catalog allows up to 100 collections).
Open and manage tasks
- Click a collection to open
/collections/view?id={collectionId}. - From this page, create, edit, enable, disable, or delete tasks.
- Click a task to open its execution history (
…&taskId={taskId}).
All task work happens on the collection view. There is no standalone /tasks route.
Archive, restore, delete
- Archive — hide a collection you are not using without deleting its configuration. Archived collections do not schedule work.
- Restore — bring an archived collection back when you need it again.
- Delete — permanently remove the collection (and its tasks) when you no longer need them.
Prefer archive when you might reuse the same jobs later.
Tips
- One collection per product or environment keeps the schedule calendar readable.
- Name collections after outcomes (
Nightly reconcile), not temporary experiments. - After you create tasks, connect integrations once at the account level — they apply across collections.
