Executions
History, run now, retries, and execution statuses.
Overview
An execution is one attempt to run a task. CronFox creates executions for scheduled ticks and for manual Run now actions. Each row captures timing and outcome so you can debug failures.
View history
- Open Collections → your collection → the task.
- The task view lists recent executions (
/collections/view?id=…&taskId=…). - Open a row to inspect details for that run.
You can also scan recent activity from the Dashboard.
Run now
- Open the task execution view.
- Click Run now.
- Wait for a new execution row — status moves through
scheduled/runningtowardcompletedorfailed.
Run now is useful for testing URL, headers, and auth without waiting for the next cron tick.
Retries
If the task has retries configured, failed HTTP attempts may be retried automatically with your configured delay. See Retries.
Retries are part of the same logical job; check execution details if a run shows multiple attempts.
Statuses

scheduled | Queued to run |
running | HTTP call in progress |
completed | Finished successfully |
failed | Request failed or returned an error outcome |
cancelled | Stopped before completion |
skipped | Not run (for example duplicate window) |
skipped_unverified | Skipped because the account email is unverified |
When DMS is enabled, ping state is tracked separately (pending → ok, or missed). See Execution statuses and Missed pings.
Retention
Execution history expires after your plan’s retention window:

Older rows are removed automatically. Upgrade if you need longer forensics windows.
