Execution statuses
Task run statuses and Dead Man’s Switch ping statuses.
Execution statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
scheduled | Accepted and queued to run |
running | HTTP request in progress |
completed | Finished successfully |
failed | Request failed or ended in error |
cancelled | Stopped before completion |
skipped | Not executed (for example filtered as a duplicate in the dispatch window) |
skipped_unverified | Skipped because the account email is not verified |
Verify your email if you see skipped_unverified on schedules that should fire.
DMS statuses
When Dead Man’s Switch is enabled on a task:

| Pending | Run started; waiting for a ping within the grace period |
ok | Valid ping received (dms_status=ok, with last-pinged time) |
| Missed | Grace period elapsed without a valid ping |
HTTP outcome and DMS outcome are independent. A completed HTTP call can still be DMS-missed if your worker never pings.
How to read them
- Open the task execution list.
- Check the primary execution status for the HTTP attempt.
- If DMS is enabled, check ping / DMS fields on the same run.
- Use Missed pings when DMS is the failure mode you care about.
